This very pretty Fantail on Pohutukawa Panel is made from a lightweight composite aluminium (ACM).
The fantail is called a piwakawaka in the Maori language. It flits around the forest (and our garden) catching insects in the air. The Pohutukawa is a gorgeous red flowered tree that blooms in November/December.
The fabulous part about this panel is that is can be hung indoors or outdoors. The ACM panels withstand sun, wind, rain, and salt air without a problem. We have had these ACM panels on the outside of the shop for many years, and there has been no visible deterioration in them.
The panel measures approximately 230mm x 550mm (9" x 21 5/8"). Hang on nails or screws, or use Command type strips. There are strips for hanging outdoors, and the panels are very lightweight but sturdy.
